Cheesy Bacon Chicken Breasts

I’m always looking for fun new ways to make chicken breasts. If it were just me eating at home, we would eat seasoned chicken breasts, baked in the oven. However, my boyfriend is burnt out on plain chicken breasts, so I like finding ways he will enjoy them. Here is a fun recipe I created, that everyone will enjoy, I mean come on, it has bacon in it.

Below is a step-by-step on how I created this delicious recipe. Be sure to check out the full recipe at the bottom of the page. Use the “Jump To Recipe” button at the top if you prefer.

What Does A Person Need?

Besides the obvious, chicken breasts, here’s a quick list of ingredients needed.

  • Chicken Breasts
  • Cream Cheese – Softened
  • Bacon, or Crumbled Bacon
  • Cheddar Cheese
  • Green Onions
  • Garlic Powder
  • Dried Dill
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Onion Powder
  • Parsley

How Can I Make This?

If you have been following me, you may have noticed that a lot of my recipes are fairly simple. The key to delicious food is seasonings and minimal dishes, at least for me. A lot of my recipes only use a dish or two, not the whole kitchen. Here is how you can make this dinner with only a couple of bowls.

Preheat your oven, before you start any of the prepping. Grease a baking dish, 9×13 is the average size, but depends on how many breasts you are making. I prefer thinner breasts, so this recipe will go off of the size breasts I have, adjust the time as needed.

If you don’t already have bacon cooked, cook that while you prep the rest of the dish. You can use crumbled bacon from the store, if that is easier for you. Allow your bacon to cool once cooked, before we cut it up.

Pat dry your thawed chicken breasts, season as you wish, ei: salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, just to name a few options. Once seasoned, place the chicken in your greased baking dish.
Chop up your green onions and set aside for now.

In a small bowl, take your softened cream cheese, your seasonings, Garlic Powder, Dried Dill, Salt, Pepper, Onion Powder, Parsley and mix together until all incorporated. Slather this cream cheese and seasonings over the top of your chicken breasts. Sprinkle your cheddar cheese, bacon on top of the cream.

Place baking dish in the oven and bake, until your chicken reaches the internal temperature of 160 degrees. Remove from oven and add your diced green onions to the top, serve up a delicious plate.

This pairs really well with some asparagus, broccoli or cauliflower for a side. Don’t care for vegetables as much, make a rice side or some noodles to go with it. Options are endless and remember this is your dinner, so make it however you would like. I hope you give this a try and let me know what you think. Much Love & Honey,
