Creamy Garlic Green Beans

You ever get sick of the same old sides with dinner? I know I do. I get bored after a while! Not that the side doesn’t taste good, but I am very much always looking for some new way to eat something. I went to my dads last weekend for the day, sat outside in the sun and we grilled burgers. My dad had asked if I wanted to bring something that went with burgers. So I came up with Creamy Garlic Green Beans.

Creamy Garlic Green Beans take minimal ingredients and are extremely easy to put together. I know how much my followers like easy meals or sides! This would definitely be a recipe for you to try! Below is some step-by-step pictures as well as the full recipe at the bottom.

Ingredient List

  • Butter
  • Green Beans – Canned
  • Cream Cheese
  • Minced Garlic
  • Salt & Pepper – To Taste

Seems like a small list doesn’t it? It almost seems too simple! However, the flavor will blow you away !!

How Do I Make This?

This is my favorite kind of side, a one pan side! You only need to dirty one pan and a utensil!

In a medium frying pan, melt your butter. Once that is melted toss in a couple spoons full of minced garlic, sautéing the garlic for a couple of minutes. Hopefully you like the smell of garlic, because your house is going to smell like it!

After your garlic has sautéed, pour in your drained canned green beans. Mix the green beans around really good so the garlic has coated the green beans. Season the green beans with salt and pepper to taste. If there is other seasoning you desire, you may use those at this time as well.

Lastly, mix in your cream cheese. The green beans should be warm enough that the cream cheese should start to melt. Coat the green beans with the cream cheese. Mixing everything around a few times and viola! You have yourself some Creamy Garlic Green Beans!

Why Did I Choose To Make These?

I love green beans! I especially like canned green beans, butter and minced garlic. That is typically my go-to side when I want something quick and cheap to make with dinner. I decided the other day though, that I wanted something a little more!

How Can I Make This My Own?

Maybe this is too plain for you and your family? That is okay because you can vamp this up however you like. You could add some red pepper flakes to make this a little spicy. You could top it with some bacon crumbles, french fried onions, pork rinds, just to name a few. There is really so much you could still do to these.
