We have been beekeeping for 3 years now. We haven’t been able to successfully keep the bees alive over the cold Wisconsin winter as of yet, but this year we have hope. We tried a couple new techniques and as of January 9th they were still alive and peeking out their door. We have had a mild winter so far, which has helped but we have also tried keeping the moisture down. We believe in the past, that is why we lost them as well as Varroa Mites. We did treat them for the mites this fall, so hoping the treatment also worked.
I will use the page to update you on our bees and educate you some on how bees work and the benefits of them. They are very important creatures and you can never know too much about them. We are always learning every year (so far) that we have been beekeeping and I would like to help others learn with us.
