Low carb cube steaks are a delicious creamy crockpot dinner, that’s ready in only a few short hours!!
This recipe is created for only a couple of small servings, but you could easily double it to go further. You can also top potatoes or rice with this if you aren’t doing low carb.

What Ingredients Do I Need?
- Cube Steaks
- Beef Broth
- Heavy Whipping Cream
- Cream Cheese
- Minced Garlic
- Garlic Powder
How Do I Prepare The Steaks?
Start by seasoning your cube steaks, with salt, pepper and garlic powder. You can use whatever other seasonings you prefer.
When you’re finished seasoning your steaks, get our your favorite frying pan. I prefer to use a cast iron but any pan will do. Pour in your preferred cooking oil, olive oil I think works best. And toss in your cube steaks in the pan and fry each side about 2 mins on high, to get a good crisp.
While your steaks are frying, chop up your onions and mushrooms. As small as your prefer, there’s no rules on this and set aside.
How Do I Make The Cream Sauce?
If your cream cheese is not softened, toss in a microwave safe bowl and microwave for a few seconds until softened.
In the same bowl as the cream cheese, add in your heavy whipping cream, beef broth, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Mix everything together until fully mixed together.
How Do I Add This To The Crockpot?
Now that your cube steaks are fried, add them into your crockpot as well as your mushrooms, onions, minced garlic and cream sauce. Mix everything around and set your timer for 6 hours on low.
When the timer goes off, mix together again and serve up a delicious plate of these Low Carb Cube Steaks. Again, If you aren’t doing low carb, you can put this on top of mashed potatoes or rice if you would like.

- 1/2 lbs Cube Steak
- 1/2 Onion
- 4 Oz Mushrooms
- 1 Tbs Minced Garlic
- 4 Oz Cream Cheese - Softened
- 1/4 Heavy Whipping Cream
- 1/4 Cup Beef Broth
- Garlic Powder
- Diced up your mushrooms and onions.
- Season the steaks with Salt, Pepper and Garlic powder. Place in frying pan with a little oil, fry for about 2 minutes on each side and remove from pan.
- In a medium bowl, mix your softened cream cheese, heavy whipping cream and beef broth and set aside.
- Throw your mushrooms, onions and steaks in the crockpot, throw your liquid mixture that's in your medium bowl on top and mix around carefully.
- Set crockpot on low for 4-6 hours.
- Once done, enjoy!!
If you aren't doing low carb, you can top this deliciousness over some rice or mashed potatoes.
